Your right about school in a number of ways. A large chunk of my job is maintaining young people in mainstream school. As you can imagine I rarely support young people who value school and education as you or I have and do. It is sad. Always remember Jim, kids are but a product of their environment. If the parents don;t encourage education the kids don't get it.
I am starting to believe we should go back to streaming people. As in academic and technical for 14 years old and on. Some folk jsut aren't academically able and some arent texhnical. |

It's is getting rediculous. My first degree got my foot in the door but to maintain my wage I have to gain this second degree. Luckily I only had 6k student debt as I started my first degree in 1997 and recieved a grant, the last year of them I believe.
This second degree is being paid by my employer but feel a bit like I am repeating a lot of stuff as it is closely related to my first degree.
However needs must now what with the wee yin and all. Where the hell did fez come from? He's some laddie.

cheers Jim. It's just really frustrating when you live in different countries, meet people from Europe and around the world (my cousin from NZ was here about 2months ago) and they are so much more relaxed and into investing in their society.
There is still a sizeable minority in this country but it feels like we are goin so far up USA's arse we aren't gonna get back. Maybe the current economic farce will wake people up. It's woke me up. Me and the wife are in it to the tune of 250k. Sucked into the spend now pay later ideology.
I have kicked mysel, several times. |
