Familiar new era dawns
It's the start of a new era for Coventry City this season with the return of former manager SBS after a 4 season sabbatical. Hopefully we will see a repeat of the Division 6 title win under SBS back in season 63.
The competitive action has started, and City fought hard to come back from 2 goals down to earn a draw with Division 5 side Mecidiyekoy City in the first leg of their cup tie.
Having missed several early chances goals from Danny Rasper and Lance Shilton have ensured an interesting second leg next week.
Next up is the opening league match against ABOISSO FC this afternoon. City should field a similar side for this one.
They do have the option of a new forward with 19-year-old Dermid MacComb making the move up from the youth squad.
Not available is defender Ali Babwar who has left the club in a 465,200 Econ deal. We wish him well for the future.
